Forest and Wildlife Act No. 27308, under the heading of private conservation on public lands states there is the option of granting public land for conservation. This type of provision was enacted in 2000 and is granted a temporary basis under contract, if projects develop are related to conservation of biological diversity such as protection activities, research, education, and other nonprofit type projects.

Who is AMAZON RAINFOREST CONSERVATION?
Amazon Rainforest Conservation S.A.C. is a social enterprise that offers environmental services for the protection and conservation of the amazon, to provide environmental services and promote sustainable projects through productive conservation.
It is incorporated under the modality of Closed Corporation in Peru; it is a for-profit company, and its registration is in the electronic No 11047947 of the registry of Legal Entities of the Registry Office of La Merced.
What are the main goals of AMAZON FOREST CONSERVATION?
We focus on PROTECTING THE AMAZON RAINFOREST with sustainable resource use, biodiversity preservation, community collaboration, and supporting conservation research and education.
The aim is to conserve the environment by promoting the sustainable use of resources, through partnerships with communities, the government, NGOs and Private Companies.

Where is AMAZON FOREST CONSERVATION’s main area of operation?
The territory has over 76 thousand hectares, The Concession for Conservation granted to ARC is called La Isla and is located on an island in the buffer zone of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
It is bordered on the North and West by the Puinahua Channel, and on the South and East by the Ucayali River. The reserve is one of Peru’s most well-preserved havens for Amazon wildlife, plants, and birding. Spanning more than five million acres, RAMSAR and it is twice the size of Yellowstone Park.
Our concession area is a vital region for preserving Amazon biodiversity.
